What is Back to School Night? Back to School Night is our pack's primary recruiting event and our opportunity to show the community what a great pack we have and what kind of program we can give their boys. We have lots of displays with pictures of our events that allow parents to see what a typical year of activities are like. We also provide handouts and contact information for everyone to take home and review. After signing in, parents have time to walk around and review the displays. The pack then gives a presentation on the purpose of Cub Scouting, the structure of our organization, how their sons fit into the program, and what the program gives back to the scout. We then have a multimedia presentation "A Year in the Life of Pack 737" that shows our scouts in action. After the presentation, we have breakout sessions for the different age groups: Tigers in grade 1, Wolves in grade 2, Bears in grade 3, and Webelos for grades 4 and 5. In these sessions den leaders explain the program specific to that rank, answer questions, and organize the participants into dens. Back to School Night is normally held during the week after Labor Day week. For more information about this event you may contact our Committee Chair, Steve Hutchinson at steve.hutchinson@pack737.com
